• Ensure that the surface is clean and free from dampness, dirt and other contamination
• For areas severly affected by algae and fungi, ensure that the surface is completely cleaned with Bio-wash before intiating the painting process
• Sand the surface using Emery Paper No. 180 and clean thoroughly. Ensure that no loose particles are sticking to the wall
• Freshly plastered surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. The coating process can be started after a minimum period of 30 days.
- Apply 2 coats of Aquafresh wall primer / Altura Primer with an interval of 4 – 5 hrs between subsequent coats.
- Undulations in the wall can be leveled using MRF Vilasa wall putty.
- The putty should be used between the first and second coat of Aquafresh / Altura Primer and sanding of the putty should be done as per recommendation.
- Apply 2 coats of Ruca White/shades with an interval of 3 to 4 hours between subsequent coats after subjecting the second coat of Aquafresh / Altura Primer to sanding using Emery No.320.
- Sanding of the first coat of Ruca White / Shade can be done with Emery No.600.
- The number of coats of topcoat depends on the chosen color. Darker shades may require additional coats.
